In order to spur and support more excellent international students to study in ZUST, Zhejiang University of Science and Technology (ZUST) provides various forms of scholarship programs for international students such as Chinese Government Scholarship, International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship, Zhejiang Provincial Government Scholarship (Type A and Type B) and Scholarship for Outstanding New Students of ZUST. Scholarship applicants must complete the online application for their major and scholarship. Once they receive pre-admission to their chosen major, they will be eligible for scholarship selection.

1.奖学金申请条件
(1) 非中国籍公民且符合教育部教外函〔2020〕12号文件规定，身体健康。
(2) 品德良好，无犯罪记录；愿意遵守中华人民共和国的法律、法规和学校有关规章制度，提供无吸毒、无涉毒承诺。
(3) 学历和年龄要求:
1) 来华学习本科专业者，须具有高中毕业学历，成绩优秀，年龄不超过 30 岁；其中申请浙江科技大学优秀新生奖学金者，年龄不超过 25 岁。
2) 来华攻读硕士学位者，须具有学士学位，年龄不超过 35 岁；其中申请浙江科技大学优秀新生奖学金者，年龄不超过 30 岁。
3) 作为普通进修生来华学习者，须具有高中及以上学历，年龄不超过 40 岁。
4) 作为高级进修生来华学习者，须为硕士在读或具有硕士及以上学位，年龄不超过45 岁。
(4) 所有申请者都需要参加入学考试或考核。
1.Requirements for scholarship application
(1) Applicants shall be non-Chinese citizens and in good health.
Note: According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education of China, those who emigrated to other countries from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, or Taiwan and applying to study in ZUST as international students, shall meet the following additional requirements:
The applicants shall hold valid passport or other relevant international recognized documents for at least 4 years; meanwhile, in the latest 4 years (by April 30th, 2024), the applicants shall have stayed overseas for 2 years (Living overseas for 9 months can be converted to 1 year, which is subject to the exit-entry stamp on visa).
(2) Good moral character and no criminal record; Willing to abide by the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China and the relevant rules and regulations of ZUST. Providing Anti-drug commitment.
(3) Requirements for education and age：
1) For bachelor programs: under the age of 30 as a high school graduate upon the application
(Applicants for Scholarship for Outstanding New Students of ZUST shall be under 25 years old).
2) For master programs: under the age of 35 as a bachelor degree holder upon the application(Applicants for Scholarship for Outstanding New Students of ZUST shall be under 30 years old).
3) For the general scholar programs: under the age of 40 as a high school diploma (or higher) holder upon the application.
4) For the senior scholar programs：under the age of 45 as a master student or a master degree holder (or above) upon the application.
(4) All applicants need to take ZUST entrance examination.
2. 语言要求
申请中国政府奖学金、浙江省政府奖学金或浙江科技大学新生奖学金者，语言需满足以下条件：
(1) 申请中文授课专业，近两年内的汉语水平考试（HSK）成绩应达到以下标准：入学语言
要求为 HSK4 级 180分及以上
中文授课硕士：HSK5 级 180 分及以上
(2) 申请英文授课专业，近两年内英语成绩应达到以下标准：
英文授课本科：雅思成绩5.5以上（含）或托福成绩80分以上
英文授课硕士：雅思成绩6.0以上（含）或托福成绩85分以上
或其他国际认可的英语水平考试达到相当分数，并提交成绩证明；通过浙江科技大学英语入学测试的申请者也视作达到英语语言要求
2. Language Ability
Applicants for Chinese Government Scholarship, Zhejiang Provincial Government Scholarship and Scholarship for Outstanding New Students of ZUST shall meet the following language requirements:
(1) If you are applying for Chinese-taught programs, HSK certificates (HSK4≥180) within two years are required (HSK refers to Chinese Proficiency Test). You can find more information on (www.chinesetest.cn)
Chinese-taught Master Programs: HSK 5≥180.
(2) If you are applying for English-taught programs, you need to meet the following qulification:
English-taught Bachelor Programs: IELTS 5.5 or TOFEL IBT≥80 .
English-taught Master Programs: IELTS 6.0 or TOFEL IBT≥85.
English proficiency proof such as IELTS, TOEFL or other English proficiency certificates of equivalent level within two years are required, otherwise the applicants should pass the entrance English test of Zhejiang University of Science and Technology (ZUST) .

3.Academic Requirements
(1)For Bachelor Programs
1)Applicants shall be a senior high school graduate or above, graduating students shall provide a
pre-graduation certificate.(to prove that the applicants can graduate before July 2024 and acquire his/her diploma).
2)Applicants shall provide senior high school transcript with excellent grades.

5.How to apply
1) Login in: https://isam.zust.edu.cn/ to complete the online application of study and Scholarship for Outstanding New Students of ZUST, and receive Pre-admission notice after passing documents review and enrollment test. And then pay the application fee(400RMB) which is non-refundable and pre-paid tuition fee(3000RMB)
2) Zhejiang University of Science and Technology Scholarship Committee will review the application materials and determine the list of scholarship candidates.
3) Zhejiang University of Science and Technology Scholarship Committee will announce the list of scholarship candidates.
4) Scholarship recipients will be awarded official Scholarship Notice.
6.注意事项
1) 被录取学生须在规定时间缴纳预交学费（3000元），否则无法进入奖学金候选人资格。
奖学金获得者须按照学校规定的时间办理报到、注册手续。未经批准而逾期不报到者，取消奖学金资格。
2) 奖学金获得者在开学时需提交所有申请材料原件进行入学资格复核和报到注册，未通过
入学资格复核的学生无法报到注册并将被取消奖学金资格和入学资格。
3) 奖学金获得者的评选由奖学金评审委员会负责。国际教育学院将在第一学期末对获得新生奖学金的外国留学生的学习成绩、学习态度、行为表现进行评审。第一学期出现成绩不合格课程或缺课（包括病假、事假、旷课）达到 20 课时或出现缺考、考试作弊现象或受到警告及以上纪律处分的学生不能享受第二学期的新生奖学金。通过评审的学生将继续享受第二学期的新生奖学金。
6.Note:
1) Admitted students are required to pay seat fee (prepaid tuition, 3000RMB) in time,
otherwise they can not be considered as scholarship candidates. Scholarship recipients must complete the registration and enrollment on scheduled time in accordance with the university regulations. Those who miss the deadline without approval will be disqualified from scholarship.
2) Scholarship recipients are required to bring all original documents for registration
and qualification review. Students who fail in the qualification review will be rejected to register and be disqualified from scholarship and admission.
3) School of International Education (SOIE) is responsible for the first-round
selection of the winners of the Scholarship. After the preliminary selection of the application materials, the SOIE shall forward the selected material to the subordinate schools for reviewing, and the final decision will be made by Zhejiang University of Science and Technology Scholarship Committee. At the end of the first semester, the SOIE will conduct a review over the scholarship winners’ academic performance, their attendance records, and their personal conduct.
Note: the qulification of the scholarship will be canceled if the scholarship winners have any of the following conduct:
a. Fail to pass the required courses
b. Fail to keep a good attendance record required by the SOIE (reasons include sick
leave, personal leave and absenteeism)
c. Fail to participate the examination
d. Cheat in the examinations
e. Have been imposed of a punishment of warning or above will not be able to
receive the scholarship in the next semester.
But those who pass the review can keep their Scholarship in the next semester.
