Main Research Interests

Dr. Liu’s research is primarily focused on resource utilization of waste, targeted construction of functional biochar, and its high value utilization, and mechanism of biochar promoting soil health. Dr. Liu has published over 20  papers in international peer-reviewed journals, including Soil Biology & Biochemistry, Agriculture Ecosystem & Environment,Horticulture Research,Science of the Total Environment. In addition to his research contributions, Dr. Liu has authored 2 book chapters, 5 patents and 3 international and provincial standards in the field. He is also an editor of the Soil Science and Environment journal, active member of the academic community and serves as a reviewer for SCI journals, specializing in Agriculture Ecosystem & Environment, Soil Science and Environment, Frontiers in Microbiology.
