Dear all students,

In order to further improve the overall safety of the campus, ZUST has carried out the following measures of campus electric bicycles.

1.From July 1 to August 31, 2024: Vehicles without a campus pass and those holding temporary campus passes are restricted from entering the main gate, east gate, sports hall side gate, and track and field field gate.

2.Starting from September 1, 2024, vehicles without a campus pass are restricted from entering the campus.

3. Vehicles that do not meet the requirements for entering the campus should be replaced with the ones meeting national standard in a timely manner, and a campus pass should be applied and installed.

Suggestions:

1. Reduce e-bike riding as much as possible.

2. If you want to buy e-bike, please go to licensed stores to purchase one meeting national standard, otherwise traffic police will not allow you to drive on streets and the e-bikes will not be allowed to enter campus.  

3. If you already have an e-bike which is not of national standard, it is suggested to sell the unqualified one to second-hand stores and purchase a new and qualified one. Please kindly beware that riding an e-bike which is not up to national standard on streets or to campus, you will be stopped by policemen or get rejected to enter the campus, which may incur inconvenience to you.

4. If your e-bike meets national standard, apply for a yellow plate and a campus pass ASAP.

Notes:

National vehicles standards: The maximum speed shall not exceed 25 kilometers per hour; the vehicle shall not exceed 55 kilograms, the vehicle width shall not exceed 0.45 meters, the distance between the front and rear wheel centers shall not exceed 1.25 meters,and the length of the saddle shall not exceed 0.35 meters; the nominal voltage of the battery shall be below 48 volts, the rated power of the electric motor shall be below 400 watts, and it must have pedal riding function.
