Application Guide to 2024 International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship

为满足国际社会对日益增长的中文教育类人才的需求，促进世界各国中文教育的发展，助力国际中文教育人才的成长，教育部中外语言交流合作中心（以下简称语合中心）设立国际中文教师奖学金（以下简称奖学金），聚焦培养合格的海外中文教师。孔子学院、独立设置的孔子课堂，部分汉语考试考点，外国相关教育机构、高校中文师范专业/中文院系、国外有关中文教学行业组织、中国驻外使（领）馆等（以下简称推荐机构）可推荐优秀学生和在职中文教师到浙江科技大学学习和进修国际中文教育专业硕士研究生、一学期/一学年研修生等相关专业及项目。

To meet the growing international demand for Chinese language teachers,facilitate Chinese language education around the world, and support the professional

development of Chinese language teachers, the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) has established the International Chinese Language Teachers

Scholarship (hereinafter referred to as the Scholarship) for eligible Chinese language teachers outside of China. Confucius Institutes, independent Confucius

Classrooms,selected HSK test centers, foreign educational institutions, Chinese language teacher training programs/Chinese departments at foreign universities,

professional associations for Chinese language teaching, Chinese embassies (consulates) abroad(hereinafter collectively referred to as Recommending Institutions) may recommend outstanding students and in-service Chinese language teachers to further their studies in international Chinese language education and related programs at Zhejiang  University of Science and Technology (hereinafter referred to as Host Institutions or ZUST).

一、奖学金内容/ SCHOLARSHIP

该项目为全额奖学金项目，含学费、住宿费、生活补贴和综合医疗保险费。具体的奖学金内容以中外语言交流合作中心 (http://www.chinese.cn)公布的信息为准。
This scholarship program covers tuition fee, accommodation fee, living allowance and comprehensive medical insurance fee. The details of the scholarship are subject to the information published on the " Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC)" website(http://www.chinese.cn).

二、资助对象/ELIGIBILITY

1．非中国籍人士。
Be a non-Chinese citizen

2．对华友好，无违法犯罪记录，遵守中国政府的法律、法规和学校的规章制度。
Be friendly to China, have no criminal record, abide by the laws and regulations of China and the rules and regulations of the Host Institution.

3．身心健康，品学兼优。
Be in good physical and mental health, be in good academic and behavioral standing.

4．有志于从事中文教育、教学及相关工作。
Be interested in Chinese language education and related work.

5．年龄为16-35周岁（统一以2024年9月1日计）。在职中文教师放宽至45周岁，
本科奖学金申请者一般不超过25周岁。
Between the ages of 16-35 on September 1st, 2024. Applicants currently worked as Chinese language teachers shall not exceed the age limit of 45, while
undergraduate students shall not exceed the age limit of 25.

三、奖学金类别及申请条件/SCHOLARSHIP TYPE AND QUALIFICATION

1. 国际中文教育专业硕士研究生
Scholarship for Master’s Degree in International Chinese Language Education
2024年 9月入学，资助期限为2年。
The program commences in September 2024, and the scholarship is provided for a maximum of two academic years.
具有大学本科学历。汉语考试成绩达到 HSK（五级）210 分、HSKK（中级）60 分。提供毕业后拟任教机构工作协议或相关证明者优先。
Applicants shall hold a Bachelor’s degree. Applicants shall have a minimum score of 210 on the HSK Test (Level 5) and 60 on the HSKK test (Intermediate Level). Priority will be given to applicants who may provide an employment contract with a teaching institution upon completing their studies in China or proof to the same effect.
2.一学年研修生
Scholarship for One-Year Study Program
2024年9月入学，资助期限为11个月。
The program commences in September 2024, and the scholarship is provided for a maximum of eleven months.
国际中文教育方向，汉语考试成绩达到 HSK（三级）270 分，具有 HSKK 成绩；汉语言文学、中国历史、中国哲学等方向，汉语考试成绩达到 HSK（四级）180 分、HSKK（中级）60 分；汉语研修方向，汉语考试成绩达到 HSK（三级）210 分，提供 HSKK 成绩者优先。
Applicants of international Chinese language education programs shall have a minimum score of 270 on the HSK test (Level 3), and an HSKK test score is required. Applicants of Chinese language and literature, Chinese history, or Chinese philosophy programs shall have a minimum score of 180 on the HSK test (Level 4) and 60 on the HSKK test (Intermediate Level). Applicants of Chinese language study programs shall have a minimum score of 210 on the HSK test (Level 3), and priority will be given to applicants who provide an HSKK test score.
3.一学期研修生
Scholarship for One-Semester Study Program
2024年9月、2025年3月入学，资助期限为5个月。
The program commences either in September 2024 or March 2025, and the scholarship is provided for a maximum of five months.
国际中文教育、汉语言文学、中国历史、中国哲学等方向，汉语考试成绩达到 HSK（三级）180 分，具有HSKK 成绩；中医、太极文化方向，具有 HSK 成绩，同时提供 HSKK 成绩者优先。
Applicants of international Chinese language education, Chinese language and literature, Chinese history, or Chinese philosophy programs shall have a minimum score of 180 on the HSK test (Level 3), and an HSKK test score is required. Applicants of traditional Chinese medicine or Taiji culture programs are required to provide HSK test scores, and priority will be given to those who also provide an HSKK test score.
4. 四周研修生
Scholarship for Four-Week Study Program
2024年7月或12月入学，资助期限为4周。
The program commences either in July or December 2024, and the scholarship is provided for a maximum of four weeks.
汉语研修、中医、太极文化、汉语言+中国家庭体验等方向，具有 HSK 成绩。可由推荐机构组团进行报名，并事先联系接收院校确定在华学习计划，提前报中心审批，每团10-15 人。
Applicants of Chinese language study, traditional Chinese medicine, Taiji culture, or Chinese language plus homestay with a Chinese family program are required to provide an HSK test score. The program may be organized and applied for by a Recommending Institution with 10-15 participants per group. Before the trip, a detailed study plan shall be made in consultation with the Host Institution(s) and such plan shall be submitted to CLEC for review and approval.

四、申请流程/APPLICATION PROCEDURES

即日起，申请者可登录中外语言交流合作中心国际中文教师奖学金板块申请http://cis.chinese.cn/account/login登录奖学金网站，查询推荐机构与接收院校，第一志愿选择“浙江科技大学”,在线提交申请材料，关注申请进程、审核意见与奖学金评审结果；奖学金获得者与我校确认办理来华留学手续，在线打印获奖证书；按我校录取通知书规定的时间入学报到。
Online registration is available on the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship website (http://cis.chinese.cn/account/login). You may search for Recommending Institutions and Host Institutions, choose Zhejiang University of Science and  Technology as your first choice, submit application materials online; and track the application process. The successful applicant must confirm with the Host Institutions to go through the procedures of studying in China, and register at the Host Institution on the designated date as per the Letter of Admission.
申请人须同时登录浙江科技大学国际学生在线管理服务系统(https://isam.zust.edu.cn/) 在线提交申请。
Scholarship applicants shall log in ZUST application website via (http://www.zust.edu.cn) and submit application at the same time.
申请截止日期为/Application deadline：
1．5月15日（2024年9月入学）。
May 15th (for those commencing in September 2024)
2．10月31日（2025年3月入学）。
October 31th (for those commencing in March 2025)
五、关于在职中文教师和汉语桥获奖者/POLICIES REGARDING IN-SERVICE CHINESE LANGUAGE TAECHERS AND HINESE BRIDGE WINNER

1.在职中文教师/In-Service Chinese Language Teachers:

在职中文教师申请各类奖学金，可提供就职机构出具的在职证明和推荐信，同等条件下优先录取。

In-service Chinese language teachers need to provide proof of employment and a letter of recommendation from the employer.

2.汉语桥获奖者/Chinese Bridge Winners:

在各类汉语桥比赛中获得“国际中文教师奖学金证书”者，登录国际中文教师奖学金网站，凭奖学金证书向浙江科技大学提交申请材料。

Applicants who have received the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship Certificate during Chinese Bridge competitions need to submit their application documents along with their scholarship certificates to ZUST directly at the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship website.

六、申请材料/APPLICATION DOCUMENTS

1.与所有申请者有关的证明材料：
·护照照片页扫描件；
·HSK、HSKK成绩报告（有效期两年）扫描件；
·推荐机构负责人的推荐信。
2.与学历生有关的证明材料：
·提供最高学历证明（毕业预期证明）和在校学习成绩单；
·汉语国际教育专业硕士须提供两名副教授以上职称导师的推荐信；
·提供毕业后拟任教机构工作协议者优先资助。
3.在职中文教师须附上就职机构出具的在职证明和推荐信。
4.未满18周岁的申请者，须提交在华监护人署名的委托证明文件。
5.申请者还须提供我校要求的其他证明材料。

A.For all applicants
a)A Scanned copy of passport photo page
b)A scanned copy of score reports of the HSK and HSKK tests (within the two-year validity).
c)A reference letter by the head of the recommending institutions
B.For degree scholarship program applicants
a)A certificate of the highest diploma (or proof of expected graduation) and an official transcript.
b)Applicants of the Scholarship for a Master’s Degree in International Chinese Language Education are required to provide two reference letters from professors or associate professors. Priority will be given to applicants who may provide an employment contract with a teaching institution upon completing their studies in China.
C.In-service Chinese language teachers shall provide proof of employment and a reference letter from the employer.
D.Applicants under 18 shall provide certified documents of designation signed by their entrusted legal guardians in China.
E.Applicants shall provide additional documents as required by ZUST.

注：

注意事项/Note:
1. 一学期研修项目和一学年研修项目原则上不录取3年内享受过同类奖学金的申请者。
In principle, applicants who have received a similar scholarship
within 3 years are not eligible for the one-semester study program and one-year study program.

2.申请材料不完整或不符合招生条件的，概不受理。通过系统上传的材料须清晰、真实、有效。建议申请人使用专业设备扫描需提交的有关文件，因材料不清晰或无法可识别造成的后果由申请人承担。
Incomplete or unqualified applications will not be accepted.Uploaded supporting documents must be clear, authentic and valid. Applicants are recommended to use a professional device to scan the relevant documents. Applicants shall bear the consequences caused by unclear or unidentifiable uploaded materials.

3.申请材料弄虚作假或非本人填写提交的，一经查实，申请资格将被取消。
Applicants will be disqualified from application in case of the fact that application materials are found fraudulent or application materials are completed and submitted by someone else.

4.入学体检不合格、中途退学及未经许可不按时报到、休学等情况，取消奖学金资格。
Students who fail to pass the pre-enrollment medical examination, withdraw from school before completing the program, fail to register at the university without prior permission, or suspend their studies will be disqualified for the scholarship.

5. 学历生须参加年度评审，详见《国际中文教师奖学金年度评审办法》。
Degree students are subject to the annual assessment according to the Annual Assessment Procedures of the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship.
