The winter vacation is approaching soon. To ensure a safe and meaningful vacation, ZUST would like to issue the following Q&As:
1. Q: What is the duration of this winter vacation?
A: The 2021 Winter Vacation will start from January 28 and the new semester will start from February 28.
2. Q: Does ZUST have any suggestion to students regarding daily life during the holiday?
A: Yes. Our suggestions are as follows:
1) Make a proper vacation schedule regarding study, sports, rest and so on;
2) Foster good living habits, and do not smoke, gamble or drink excessively;
3) Pay attention to the traffic safety and observe traffic regulations;
4) Abide by the social morality code and public order. Do not make noise in your room. Be careful with your valuables and be cautious of electricity, water, fire and so on;
5) Apply for an internship visa before going for an internship outside and take caution of fraud;
6) Please shut off the electricity in your room if you leave for a long period of time.
3. Q: What matters does ZUST want to emphasize to students?
A: 1) Drugs are harmful and dangerous. Our attitude to drugs: ZERO TOLERANCE. Cherish your life and stay away from drugs;
2) Cooking or accommodating guests in school dormitory is forbidden. Please use the public kitchen for cooking;
3) Do not use high-powered electrical appliances in your room.
4. Q: 2020 is a difficult year for all humankind. Due to the current pandemic situation, does ZUST have any requirement or advice to students during the holiday?
A:Yes. For the safety of students, we would like to offer the following information:
1) All students should stay in their current city or region and reduce unnecessary outings and trips during the whole holiday.
2) Students from medium and high-risk areas are not allowed to return to Hangzhou. Students are not allowed to go to medium or high-risk areas;
3) If anyone has a fever during the holiday, you must inform your advisor immediately;
4) The pandemic keeps changing and hence measures on COVID-19 prevention and control may or may not be stepped up in the days ahead. Please seek your advisor’s advice before making the decision on trips and follow the Wechat account of ISAC for epidemic updates and latest regulations and policies;
5) Strict compliance with ZUST regulations in place and taking advice on epidemic control, such as wearing masks, developing good hygiene habits, etc. will work together to protect you well from the epidemic;
6) Those who do not comply with ZUST requirements on epidemic prevention and control will be given a warning or dispelled if consequences incurred is serious. If anyone violates laws and regulations on COVID-19 prevention and control issued by Chinese government, students will be expelled from school and may be repatriated.
