Global Young Leaders Dialogue

From May 21st to 25th, the 2021 GYLD China Tours entered Guangdong. TUNGAMIRAI ERIC MUPONA, a ZUST international student from Zimbabwe, was invited to attend the activity. At the Sino-foreign Youth Exchange Conference, as a representative of college students, he shared his knowledge and insights on the great changes in China's reform and opening up and the development plan of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.


International youth shared their experiences of studying, working and living in China, telling their unique "Chinese story".


At WeChat headquarters, international youths experienced the convenience of life, social progress, and sustainable development of cities and communities brought by technological innovation.


International youth experienced the art of Cantonese opera.


International youth visited the national high-tech enterprise Topstar Technology Company, experienced the transformation and development of Chinese private enterprises from "Made in China" to "Intelligent Manufacturing in China".


International youth felt Chinese characters and the charm of calligraphy.


Through the 4-day visit and dialogue and exchanges, international youth experienced the creative vitality and humanistic spirit of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, gained a new understanding of the rich cultural connotation and innovative vitality of the Greater Bay Area, and further learned that China is building a modern city and promoting the development of an open world economy.


About GYLD

The "Global Young Leaders Dialogue" (GYLD) project is jointly initiated by the Globalization Think Tank (CCG) and the Institute of Contemporary China and the World. It is a dialogue mechanism for international young talents from different countries and different fields under the age of 45. This project focuses on global issues such as globalization, global governance, multilateralism, technology and innovation, exchanges of civilizations, sustainable and inclusive development, and health, highlighting equal dialogue, exchange of ideas, and inclusive and mutual learning.
