To further advance the development of campus integrity culture and widely convey the values of honesty and integrity to Chinese and international teachers and students, as well as foster a campus atmosphere that advocates integrity, the themed reading activity “The Integrity Essence of Heshan · Nourishing the Heart with the Fragrance of Books” for Sino-Foreign teachers and students was held as scheduled in the library atrium on June 26.

At the event site, international-student volunteers proactively guided passing teachers and students to stop and browse bilingual posters featuring integrity quotes by Chinese and foreign celebrities, independently compiled and illustrated by the International Student Union. The posters gather timeless integrity maxims from ancient and modern times both at home and abroad, supplemented by Chinese-English bilingual annotations. They vividly demonstrate the shared respect for qualities such as honesty, uprightness and abidance by rules across diverse cultural backgrounds. Chinese and international student participants sat together in groups, shared insights inspired by the posters, and delved into the common core of integrity culture across different eras and

 cultural contexts. Their exchanges broadened horizons and deepened mutual understanding through intellectual exchanges.

Taking reading as the link, this activity opens up channels for integrity-culture communication across languages and cultures. It guides all teachers and students to read integrity-themed books, understand integrity-related principles and remain steadfast in integrity. Adopting the relaxing form nurtured by scholarly ambiance, integrity education becomes more approachable and appealing, effectively cultivating a clean and upright campus atmosphere.
