From June 26 to 28, the mobile consular outreach service event hosted by the Embassy of Morocco in China was successfully held at the Faculty-Student Service Center of our university.
Led by Mohamed Najjari, Minister-Counselor for Consular Affairs of the Embassy of Morocco in China, consular officers from the embassy processed a wide range of consular services on-site, including passport renewal, national ID card application and signature notarization. They provided one-stop convenient services for Moroccan citizens in Hangzhou and surrounding provinces and municipalities.
To ensure the efficient and orderly delivery of outreach services, the School of International Education and the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation made careful overall arrangements. Outstanding Moroccan-student volunteers were selected to provide full logistic support. The volunteers assisted staff in coordinating the procedural workflow, maintaining on-site order, and providing applicants with consultation, guidance and procedural support.
This on-campus consular service relieved applicants of the need to travel all the way to Beijing for formalities, significantly saving both time and travel costs, and won unanimous praise from all parties. As the event drew to a close, the Embassy of Morocco in China spoke highly of the successful outcome of this outreach initiative. It extended sincere gratitude to the university leadership, the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, and the School of International Education for their strong support, thorough planning, and thoughtful support throughout the event. The embassy fully acknowledged our university's well-equipped venue, efficient coordination mechanisms, and the enthusiastic and professional services provided by Moroccan student volunteers. It noted that this smooth and productive university-embassy cooperation has laid a solid foundation for both regular consular outreach services and the deepening of China-Morocco educational, cultural, and people-to-people exchanges.The successful hosting of this event fully demonstrated the sound interaction between our university and foreign embassies and consulates in China. It also marked an important step for our university in deepening international exchanges and cooperation, as well as optimizing management and services for international students. Going forward, our university will continue to consolidate the foundation for China-Morocco educational cooperation and further promote the in-depth development of cultural exchanges and bilateral friendship.
