In this midsummer season, our students' achievements come to fruition. On the evening of June 22, the 2026 International Student Graduation GALA of Zhejiang University of Science and Technology was grandly held. Faculty, students, guests and relatives gathered to extend their most sincere blessings and best wishes to international graduates embarking on new journeys.
Thoughtfully prepared and warmly supported. The GALA commenced with a warm opening video was played. Graduates filed into the venue, opening an unforgettable night amid a warm and solemn atmosphere. All attendees watched a special video on integrity-based professional ethics and honesty education, guiding graduates to consolidate the moral foundation for their professional values and “fasten the first button” of their career and life.
Sincere messages and earnest exhortations. The host formally introduced the leading officials and guests present at the event. Professor Wei Jianhua, Dean of the School of International Education, delivered an address, extending warm congratulations and sincere wishes to the Class of 2026 international students who had successfully completed their studies. She fully acknowledged students’ outstanding academic performance and their positive contributions to promoting Sino-foreign cultural exchange and enriching the campus multicultural landscape. She encouraged them to uphold the university motto Virtue and Truth, Practicality and Creativity, shoulder their missions, forge ahead resolutely, act as bridges and bonds for China-foreign friendship, and contribute their youthful strength to building a global community of shared future.

Voices of graduates, gratitude to the Alma Mater. Vanessa Aurelie, an Indonesian student, spoke on behalf of graduates. She fondly recalled precious moments and personal growth during her studies. She expressed heartfelt gratitude for the high-quality educational resources and all-round support provided by the university. Her speech, filled with deep affection for the university, teachers and fellow classmates, resonated strongly with the whole audience.
Remarks by graduate representative
Splendid performances blending Chinese and Western cultures. The artistic segment featured a succession of brilliant shows, fully demonstrating international students’ multicultural competence and artistic talent. An Indonesian dance ignited the whole venue with its passionate rhythm. Teacher Lü Zhutao gave a soul-stirring vocal performance of Someone to Lean On. Teachers Wang Ting and Zhang Jingya jointly presented a fascinating magic show that amazed the audience. Teacher Liu Tiruo performed the classic Huangmei Opera excerpt Who Would Have Thought I Would Top the Imperial Examination, showcasing the charm of traditional Chinese opera. Yemeni student Chenglong and Indonesian student Selina sang the duet Fairy Tale, adding warmth and romance to the evening. Diverse cultures shone side-by-side on stage, vividly illustrating the fruitful outcomes of our university’s international-oriented education.

Freeze youth, preserve precious memories. After the performances, all attendees took group photos to capture precious moments with the camera. The university presented each graduate with custom graduation photos and commemorative albums. These special keepsakes preserve lasting memories of their campus years, carrying the Alma Mater’s deep affection and heartfelt wishes for graduates venturing afar.
