Recently, leveraging the "ZUST-SIA Silk Road International Academy" platform, Zhejiang University of Science and Technology (ZUST) organized its team of international Chinese language education graduate students, who are currently completing internships in Sabah, Malaysia, to carry out book donation activities at four Chinese independent high schools—Kian Kok Middle School, Tenom Tshung Tsin Secondary School, Pei Tsin High School, and Sabah Chinese High School. With books as a medium and culture as a bridge, the initiative aims to deepen educational exchanges and mutual learning between China and Malaysia.

This book donation event serves as a key extension of the internship practicum for the international Chinese language education graduate student team in Malaysia. The internship team held book donation ceremonies at each school, presenting quality Chinese reading materials such as Understanding China and Picturesque Zhejiang. School leaders expressed their sincere gratitude for the event and fully acknowledged ZUST's longstanding commitment and proactive efforts in overseas Chinese language teacher training and collaborative international Chinese language education. The donated books focus on contemporary China, the distinctive regional characteristics of Zhejiang, and traditional Chinese culture. Featuring up-to-date content with a strong contemporary relevance, the books are highly aligned with the practical needs of overseas Chinese language teaching. They effectively enrich each school's Chinese language collection and provide high-quality learning resources for local Chinese language educators and students to gain a comprehensive, multi-dimensional understanding of modern China and the cultural landscape of Zhejiang.

The "ZUST-SIA Silk Road International Academy," jointly established by ZUST and the Sabah Institute of Art in Malaysia, is among the first batch of "Belt and Road Silk Road Academies" in Zhejiang Province. The Academy consistently upholds the distinctive educational philosophy of "Chinese + Skills" and is deeply engaged in the field of Chinese language education in Malaysia. This book donation and exchange activity has further solidified the foundation of friendly cooperation between ZUST and the Chinese independent high schools in Sabah. Looking ahead, ZUST will continue to rely on the Silk Road Academy platform to expand diverse activities such as overseas cultural exchanges, joint teacher training, and practice-based education. These efforts will continually enrich the connotation of the Silk Road education brand and contribute to elevating friendly exchanges and cooperation in education and culture between China and Malaysia to new heights.
