On the invitation of HISC, Mrs. Kenssy D. Ekaningsih, Consulate-general of Indonesia in Shanghai attended Sports Meeting of HISC and met with Vice President Zheng Youqu. Mrs. Kenssy extended her gratitude as ZUST undertook this activity, and was willing to ZUST into contact with Indonesia’s universities. Mr. Zheng spoke high of the activity held by HISC, and welcomed more Indonesian student to come to Hangzhou and study in ZUST.
To enhance the communication between Indonesia students in Hangzhou, they established Hangzhou Indonesian Students Committee in 2012, and held 2015 HISC Sports Meeting at ZUST from 30-31, May in 2015. Except Indonesian students in Hangzhou, Indonesian students from Nanjing, Suzhou and Ningbo also came for participation. Competitions include volleyball, badminton, Ping Pang, and Indoor Football.
According to statistics of 2014, there were 1466 foreign students including long-term and short-term in ZUST, among them 100 are Indonesians. The number of Indonesian student in Hangzhou grows in recent years.
