2009 China IT Companies TOP 100: Zhejiang wins 14 places, 9 in Hangzhou

  The Top 100 IT Companies released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of P.R.C. contain fourteen Zhejiang companies. Nine companies in Hangzhou including Eastcom, Fuchunjiang Group and Insigma hit the list, four more than that in last year. The rankings for them are also higher this time. Insigma, for example, ranks 41st with its revenue of 5.248 billion RMB, 13 places higher than last year.
  Under the downturn of global financial crisis, Insigma’s business grew steadily. Software outsourcing contracts maintained a 30-percent increase. With generally expanding businesses, 23 companies made more than 10 billion RMB last year. The top three are Huawei, Haier and Lenovo. Their total revenue exceeded 100 billion RMB, which is quite close to make into the Fortune Top 5o0. The revenue of these 100 companies reached 1.12 trillion, which takes up 18 percent of the total in this industry. IT industry top 100 companies have been exemplary in business operation, technological innovation, international cooperation and conserving energy by reducing greenhouse gas emission after years of development. They are pivotal in implementing the national plan of IT industry expansion and contributing to the economic growth.
