On August 23rd, a visiting group of 14 German students from Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Oldenburg University of Applied Sciences and Arts and other German universities came to our school for visiting and studying. In addition to regular short-term Chinese language lessons, we arranged Chinese calligraphy and painting classes, Chinese seal-cutting classes, art appreciation classes, Tai Ji performances and lectures on Chinese Economics.
In order to enable German students to experience the long history, the splendid culture and the colorful landscape of Hangzhou, Zhejiang and China, we arranged a tour of the Zhejiang Provincial Museum, the Silk Museum and the Museum of Chinese Tea. We also organized a Chinese ceramics class and visited famous sites such as the West Lake, Lingyin Temple, Hefang Street, the Pagoda of Six Harmonies, and the Prince Edward Bay Park. We also organized a one-day trip to the famous watertown, Wuzhen.
We believe that through this 21-day summer short-term tour, the cooperation between our university and cooperating German universities will be further strengthened. Chinese and German people, especially younger students, will now have a deeper understanding of each other.
