Q&A of 2021 Summer Vacation

The summer vacation is approaching soon. In order to offer more information and let all students have a safe and meaningful vacation, ZUST would like to issue the following Q&As:

1.Q: What is the duration of this summer vacation?

A: The 2021 Summer Vacation will start from July 8 and the new semester will start from September 4.

2. Q: Does ZUST have any suggestions to students regarding to daily life during the holiday?

A: Yes. Our suggestions are as follows:

Make a proper vacation schedule regarding study, sports, rest and so on;

Foster good living habits, and do not smoke, gamble or drink excessively.

Pay attention to the traffic safety and observe the traffic regulations while traveling or visiting friends.

Abide by Chinese laws, the social morality code and public order. Do not make noise in your room. Be careful with your valuables and be cautious of electricity, water, fire and so on.

Apply for and obtain an internship visa before going for an internship and take proper precautions of fraud in the name of providing internships or jobs.

Please shut off the electricity in your room if you leave for a long period of time.

According to regulations, all students are required to pay school fees on a year basis. Please be prepared for tuition payment in the new semester.

3. Q: What matters do ZUST want to emphasize to students?

A: 1) Drugs are harmful and dangerous. Cherish your life and stay away from drugs.

2) Lodging guests in school dormitory is forbidden. Please use the public kitchen for cooking.

3) Do not swim in local rivers, lakes or ponds.

4. Q: Does ZUST have any requirements or advice to all students?

Off-campus students currently in China

It is suggested not to travel out of Hangzhou. If students do need to leave Hangzhou, ask for leave permission from your advisor in advance. Students who return to Hangzhou from trips need to apply first by Dingtalk.

Students currently in their mother countries

Protect yourself. Take care of your families. We highly recommend all of you not to go out very often. If you do have to go out, wear a mask. Wash your hands frequently and properly. Make sure your room is well ventilated and avoid going to crowded places such as hospitals, railway stations, airports, etc. Avoid close contact with people who have flu or cold-like symptoms.
